Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Julie Miller is a General Practitioner and has owned PetÂ’s Friend Animal Clinic since 2002. Born in Southern California, she says that she knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. Now, having been in practice in the Bay Area for over 20 years, she particularly loves the long-term relationship she has developed with her clients. Dr. Miller attended the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) for her undergraduate studies and then the University of California at Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating with her doctorate, she completed an internship in Surgery and Emergency Medicine in Los Angeles and then began practicing in Northern California. She has served as a Board member of a local emergency clinic and currently serves as an advisor for animal healthcare in the local community. Dr. Miller is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She, her husband and young son share their home with two standard poodles, Luc and Anna. Dr. Miller actively supports Nor Cal Poodle Rescue and regularly attends Poodle Day in Carmel, an annual fundraiser. for Nor Cal Poodle Rescue. When (if) she has free time, she enjoys horseback riding, making jewelry, and family outings.
