Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Nilli Karmi was born and raised in Israel -she moved to the US in 2002 after serving in the Israeli Defense Force and graduated with a BSc from Ben Gurion University; Dr. Karmi graduated with a DVM from UC Davis in 2012. Dr. Karmi DVM joined Mohnacky Animal Hospital?s Vista team Summer 2018. Dr. Karmi brings extensive experience as a well-rounded DVM with a PhD in Genetics. In addition, she has authored a chapter for a well-known veterinary textbook, been published in peer reviewed veterinary journals, lectured to breed clubs, and has a managed a large animal practice. As a general practitioner she thrives on educating clients on quality medicine and preventative care. In her free time Dr Karmi enjoys the outdoors with her two-year-old son. She loves to read, dance, and cook meals for her family. Her fur children include a ?career changed? guide dog- ?Oliver?, a rambunctious puppy- ?Shooky?, a regal tuxedo cat- ?Nounie? (who expects butler service at 5PM SHARP), and an orange tabby with an identity crisis ? ?Jinji? (aka ?the dog cat?).
