Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Smart attended the University of Florida and graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She joined Westbay Animal Hospital in 1998. Dr. Smart is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and American Heartworm Society. She is also a past President of the Manatee County Veterinary Society. Dr. Smart has a soft spot for dachshunds and has two of her own named Ray and Lily. She also has a cat named Tigger and a horse named Chief. Outside of work, Dr. Smart enjoys spending time with her family, boating, bicycling, and spending time at the barn with her daughter.
