Veterinarian Overview
Dr. John Sanders grew up on a farm in South Alabama. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1969 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1973 from Auburn University. After practicing veterinary medicine in Tallahassee for several years, he established Westwood Animal Hospital in 1979. He is a member of the Big Bend Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He has served on the Executive Board of the Florida Veterinary Medical Association as District 1 Representative. Dr. Sanders and his family are members of Killearn United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys golf and spending time with family and friends on the farm.
