Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Anderson is a 1996 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in and was subsequent owner of the Pontiac Veterinary Hospital in Pontiac, IL, from 1996-2005. In March of 2005, he opened Hawthorne Park Animal Care Center in Bloomington. Dr. Andersons special interests in veterinary practice include laser surgery, internal medicine, and canine rehabilitation including laser therapy. He is a member of the AVMA and ISVMA. Locally he has served on the board of the Humane Society of Central Illinois for 7 years and is currently serving as the president. Dr. Anderson and his wife have lived in Bloomington since 2004 and have 2 sons. He also has a cat, Winston and 2 guinea pigs. When not working he enjoys working out, reading history books, and coaching youth football and basketball.
