Veterinarian Overview
I have been associated with the Chicago Heights Animal Hospital for virtually my entire life. My father (my mentor) also a veterinarian, owned and and practiced at the CHAH since 1952. As a teenager and young adult, I worked here as receptionist, kennel help ,veterinary assistant, and even (gasp!) groomer. Upon graduation from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980, I became a full-time associate. My husband and I purchased the clinic in June of 2005. Many of our clients and their descendants have been coming here for over 40 years. It has been wonderful and also sometimes sad to see each new generation of pets come and go. I am very fortunate to have an extraordinary (professional and talented, yet also compassionate) staff!
In my free time, I enjoy gardening and spending time with my pets. I also serve the Chicago Veterinary Medical Association (for the past 10 years) as co-chair of the Continuing Education Committee. Together with my committee, I arrange 7 yearly CE seminars (featuring world-renowned veterinary speakers) for the over 800- member CVMA
