Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Raser graduated from the U of I College of Veterinary Medicine in June of 1994. He started his career in veterinary medicine at Forest South Animal Hospital with Dr. Coyne. In 1997 he relocated to a small animal practice in Rock Falls, Illinois. For the next 20 years, he practiced small animal medicine and soft tissue surgery there. In 2017 Dr. Raser elected to do relief work at South Suburban Low-Cost Veterinary Clinic. After working at Midwest Animal Hospital in Mokena, he returned to SSLCVS in Chicago Heights. Dr. Raser still resides on his family farm in Prophetstown, Illinois. When not practicing veterinary medicine, he is active in his local astronomy club and when Illinois weather allows, stargazes at his family farm. He also pursues interests in photography, carpentry, and electronics.
