Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Swanson is a native of the Quad Cities where she attended Augustana College and received her Bachelors in Biology. She then attended the University of Illinois where she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. From a young age, Dr. Swanson loved animals. She wanted to be a vet so she could not only help animals but also help owners learn more about their pets and to provide the best possible care for them. What she finds most interesting is the variety of animals, in addition to seeing cats and dogs, Dr. Swanson does basic health checks on exotics and pocket pets. Dr. Swanson enjoys spending time with her family including a huge extended family, a brother, and sister, a brother-in-law and a niece and nephew. She also enjoys watching movies and visiting historical sites. Dr. Swanson has a terrier mix, Wally, who is pictured with her here
