Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Natalie hails from Owensboro, Kentucky, and first became interested in pursuing veterinary medicine after spending time at a veterinary practice in western Kentucky similar to The Heritage Clinic. Her love for horses began as a child and developed throughout her teenage years while spending time on her family farm and eventing her own horses. During her time at Wake Forest University she would spend her spare time working as a veterinary assistant at a small animal practice in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She spent her summers in Lexington, Kentucky continuing to compete her horse and working on thoroughbred farms. After graduating from undergrad she continued to pursue her passion for animals while working as both a small animal and equine veterinary assistant full-time before she entered veterinary school.Dr. Natalie graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. She was able to continue her focus on equine medicine at a one year rigorous internship program at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky where she was able to increase her knowledge in equine critical care, lameness, neonatalogy, diagnostic imaging, and anesthesia.The Heritage Clinic welcomed Dr. Natalie in 2015 to provide equine and small ruminant care to its clients. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband Jonathan, two dogs Riley and Elvis, and her two cats Alvin and Charlie. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse Rocky and traveling with her husband Jonathan.
