Veterinarian Overview
Dr Scott Gordon was raised in Americus, Kansas where he helped his father farm. While attending Northern Heights High School, he began riding with Dr. Bryan Barr, DVM. After graduating from NHHS, he attended Kansas State University. He earned his B.S in Animal Science in 1998 and his DVM from Kansas State in 1990. In 1990, Dr. Gordon joined Emporia Veterinary Hospital as a veterinarian. He became a partner with Dr. Barr and Dr. Duane Henrikson. As they retired, Dr Gordon increased his ownership of the practice. He is now a partner with Dr. Richard Mendoza . Dr. Gordon has a strong interest in large animal production medicine, but he also enjoys the challenges of small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Gordon and his wife, Rhonda (Fowler) Gordon have 3 children, Austin, Kelsey and Megan. In his spare time, he enjoys attending his children's many sporting activities and officiating football games. He continues his many years of being a Flint Hills Beef Fest Committee member, of which he has served as a past president. He continues to help his father farm.
