Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Schmeiser graduated from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He first worked as an associate in a mixed animal practice in rural Colorado. Dr. Schmeiser moved to the Washington, D.C. Maryland area in 1988, where he continued his work with a mixed animal practice in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. In April of 1996, Dr. Schmeiser opened Dunkirk Animal Hospital, an exclusively small animal practice. Since then, Dr. Schmeiser invested a majority of his time and energy working diligently to shape his practice into a dynamic, well-equipped, and highly respected veterinary hospital. During his free time, Dr. Schmeiser enjoys hunting with his son and watching his daughters play college softball.
