Julie Schubert, D.V.M........ "I never considered anothercareer besides Veterinary medicine. I chose to work in amixed practice for 20 years because I loved the variety ofskills needed to deal with both large and small animals. Itwas certainly a James Herriot type of life. Many greatstories and fine people. I narrowed my focus to smallanimal practice in order to spend more time with patientsand clients. I like to delve deeper into their medicalproblems and focus on the human-animal bond that is soimportant in veterinary medicine.My family and I moved to Bethel after enjoying 17 years ofmixed practice in Colebrook, NH, and one year in ThreeRivers, Michigan.Our daughter, son, and family dog join my husband and mein hiking, skiing (both nordic and downhill), running, bikingand other outdoor activities.A passion for playing the trumpet has led to performanceswith orchestras, community bands and many other musicalgroups
