Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Tilus grew up in Buffalo, completed her undergrad studies at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2012. While growing up, she was surrounded by many animals and enjoyed competing in the sport of cowboy mounted shooting, which involves a horse, two single-action Colt .45s, and blank ammunition. Dr. Tilus splits her time between the small animals of BestFriends and the farm animals of Red Barn Veterinary Service, the large-animal practice owned by Dr. Sells husband. She is excited to serve the community in which she was raised. Dr. Tilus (formerly known as Dr. Bullock) got married in June of 2015 and resides in St. Michael with her husband. Her pets include her Quarter Horse named Little Big Man, who she rides competitively, and a calico cat named Punkin, who competes only for the couch. In her free time she enjoys riding her horse, skiing, reading, and traveling, particularly to the western side of South Dakota.
