Veterinarian Overview
Tanya graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Becoming a veterinarian has always been a lifelong goal and dream for Dr. Lewis and she is so excited to be able to call this her career. She thoroughly enjoys preventative medicine, surgery, and dentistry, both in small animals as well as horses. Dr. Lewis handles all the surgeries that come through Pet Nations door, and assists specialist when they come in for extraordinary cases. She is an extremely talented surgeon and we are lucky to have her! She is also continually researching new and innovative ways to improve your pets health.When you meet Dr. Lewis in the clinic either it be for an exam or to discuss the results of your pets surgery, you will find that she is very thorough and will happily communicate with you anything regarding your pets health.Dr. Lewis owns two horses Dusty (a 32 year-old Arab/Saddlebred gelding) and Alejandro (a 7 year-old Paso Fino gelding), as well as a 6 year-old miniature donkey named Emmitt. Among the smaller furry family members, she has a very friendly chinchilla named Chuck. Dr. Lewis is so happy to be able to have worked with so many different four-legged friends through Pet Nation, and is looking forward to continuing to help make a difference in your pets lives!
