Dr. Aults home is alive with rescued furry, feathered and scaly creatures. Animals have graced her life since she was a child. They are her life and family of choice.Dogs: Reba Joy, and elderly pug whose housetraining habits cannot be called reliable Maggie, a Lhasa Apso who is convinced she was born to rule. Voldermort, a three legged Pomeranian who is dear and loving but not smartCats: Katherine, The Grand Dame, age about 22, Philadelphia, Kitty of Brotherly Love, Louise, only has one eye but sees much more than she understands, Osama bin Lurkin, the Hairy Terrorist. Hes the smartest cat I know but he bites everyone but Dr. Ault. Ah well, even evil geniuses need love.Bird: Roger (no relation the Dr. Barr) a neurotic feather picking, 10 year old cockatiel who is prone to night frights.Reptile: Mr. Gordo, a Savannah Monitor lizard (in the same family as Komodo Dragons). Mr. G loves long baths and mouse soup. Hope he enjoys gardening with Dr. Ault(he can eat some of the worms). The people who share Dr. Aults love and devotion to animals are our clients at Foley Blvd. Animal Hospital. Helping our clients is the best part of Dr. Aults life. Even if there is nothing more that medicine can do, helping to ease a beloved creatures transition out of this world is a painful but emotionally fulfilling for Dr. Ault. The older she gets, the more she accepts that none of us are getting out of here alive. Providing a pain free end, surrounded by love, sounds like a good way to complete a distinguished life. Not only do veterinarians get to work with a delightful group of patients, we are privileged to meet an amazing collection of compassionate, loving caregivers whose animal companions are family.
