Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kelly Jordan grew up in Coleridge, NE. After graduation, she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from UNL. She then attended Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, her first job was at a small and large animal clinic in Hiawatha, KS. After working there for 6 1/2 years, she decided to move closer to home and came back to the Lincoln area. She worked at a strictly feline clinic for 2 1/2 years before joining the team at Wachal Pet Health Center in September 2012. Dr. Jordan greatly enjoys surgery, particularly orthopedic. She is also actively learning about alternatives to traditional methods of diagnosis and treatment, including acupuncture. Currently, she is enrolled in the IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) course for 2012-2013. In addition, she has always had an interest in animal behavior and training methods. Dr. Jordan loves spending time on her acreage with her 2 dogs (Titan and Squirrely), 3 cats (Tigger, Piglet and Toun) and various other foster animals that come to stay with her from time to time. She occasionally helps out at The Cat House ( a cat shelter in Lincoln) during her free time.
