Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Catherine Alsford joined the Nickel City Animal Hospital team in June 2016. She received an undergraduate degree from Canisius College and a DVM degree from Ontario Veterinary College. She enjoys all aspects of general veterinary medicine, but her favorite part is building relationships with clients and their pets. Outside of work, Dr. Alsford enjoys going on hikes and bike rides with her husband, Robbie. She also loves everything about Buffalo, NY. She grew up here and is excited to be back again enjoying everything the area has to offer. At home, Dr. Alsford has four dogs Phineas, a Bernese mountain dog; Bailey, a German shepherd mix; Shelby, a miniature dachshund; and Wally, a French bulldog as well as two loud and mischievous Siamese cats, Linus and Percy; a lovable gray domestic shorthaired cat, Mr. Pym; a parrot named Peaches (who loves to chase the cats); and a sugar glider named Pearl.
