Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Vaillancourt grew up in Hamburg, NY and has lived her whole life in New York State. After attending a kindergarten field trip to a veterinary clinic, she realized that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping animals, and become a veterinarian. Dr. Vaillancourt began her journey by earning a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Art: Biology, at the University at Buffalo. She then moved to Cortland, NY to attend Cornell University; and shortly after received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Vaillancourt has worked at Town and Country Animal Clinic since 2007. Her special interests in the veterinary field include internal medicine and diagnosing and treating ear infections. Dr. Vaillancourt is a member of the Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society, Western New York Veterinary Medical Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, and participates in Buffalo Academy. Around the clinic Dr. Vaillancourt is known as the flea picker, because she has an obsession for finding fleas on patients and then killing them. Although Dr. Vaillancourt has always hated the cold weather, she and her husband, Brad, currently live in Elma, NY. They have three sons named Vincent, Trevor and Steven who, unlike their mom, enjoy the cold and playing in the snow. Dr. Vaillancourt also has a cat named Cricket and recently adopted an adorable puppy that they named Tucker. She spends most of her free time with her family and also enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and she loves to eat candy.
