Veterinarian Overview
r. Zawie is co-owner of the Farmingville Animal Hospital. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1976.Dr. Zawie completed an internship and residency at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. He became board certified in internal medicine, specializing in gastroenterology and endoscopy. Before joining Dr. Jacobson at FAH, he was Head, Department of Gastroenterology at the Animal Medical Center.He has lectured both nationally and internationlly. He is the author of numerous scientific articles and book chapters.Dr. Zawie and his wife, Lynn have three children. His son, Stephen followed in his footsteps and is a veterinarian in NYC. Dr. Zawie has followed in his daughter's footsteps by taking up horseback riding.
