Veterinarian Overview
Originally from Staten Island, Dr. Jacobson is a 1975 graduate of the Univesity of Bologna College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jacobson took over the reins of Farmingville Animal Hospital in 1981. Since then the hospital has developed into a multi-person, progressive small animal hospital.Dr. Jacobson has served as president of the Long Island Veterinary Medical Association and has represented Long Island on the executive board of the New York State Veterinary Medical Society. Currently he serves on the advisory board to the Veterinary Technician program at Suffolk Community College. He was honored in 1995 by the LIVMA as Veterinarian of the Year.Dr. Jacobson and his wife, Janet have 2 children and they are now enjoying their first grandchild. In his free time he can be found on the golf course or kayking down the Nissequogue River.
