Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Catriona Love grew up in a small town just outside of Hartford, CT called South Windsor. Her love for animals began at a very early age when her parents gave her her first guinea pig, named Tinkerbell. She studied animal science at the University of Connecticut before moving to Gainesville, Florida and beginning veterinary school at the University of Florida. During vet school Dr. Love learned a great appreciation for international medicine and spent quite a bit of time traveling to central America working with local spay and neuter campaigns. Her true passion however, was zoo medicine and exotics and she did a summer externship at the Oregon Zoo. She graduated in May of 2011 and then spent the following summer working as a technician in UFs ICU before moving to Cairns, Australia for four years.
