Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Wendy Kurtz grew up in the Southern Tier of New York and has enjoyed taking care of large and small animals her whole life. From her first gerbil to the Missouri Fox Trotter mare she rides now, Dr. Wendy has always loved animals. She earned her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at the University of Rochester in 1987. She then went on to complete a masters degree in neuroscience and her VMD degree magna cum laude at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Wendy has enjoyed working at County Line Animal Hospital since 1998, and has a special interest in behavioral problems. Dr. Wendy also enjoys horseback riding, gardening, reading and hiking. She lives her dream on a small farm in Penfield with her husband, Andrew, and her two sons, Aaron and Tristan. They share their home with their cats (Annie, Bottacini, Oscar, Mack, Oreo and Jax), their horse Foxy, their two dogs (Bandit and Sabre) and four hermit crabs.
