Veterinarian Overview
With bachelor degrees in environmental health and veterinary medicine, Dr. Lackner went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. She then completed a fellowship through the National Eye Institute and the National Institutes of Health in diabetic retinopathy. Seeking further training she then completed a comparative ophthalmology residency at the University of Zurich. She gained diplomat status in the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology and has been in Northeast region ever since. She is currently working on two studies, one for a potential new treatment for glaucoma and another looking at ultrasound examinations of proptosed eyes. Away from the hospital Dr. Lackner enjoys being out on the lake and spending time with her Labradors.
