Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bethany Howe received her bachelor of science in zoology in 1998 from the University of Rhode Island, and graduated from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She completed a small animal internal medicine and surgery internship in Westbury, NY from 2005-2006. She then worked as an associate emergency doctor in West Islip for four years., before transitioning to small animal practice over the past 4 years. She opened the Hawkins Animal Hospital and Wellness Center in August 2014 and is a member of AVMA and AVHMA. Her interests include internal and emergency triage medicine. She is also very interested in holistic medicine and is incorporating aromatherapy into her practice of traditional western medicine, and is a level 2 Reiki practitioner and seraphim blueprint practitioner. Dr. Howe makes her home on the south shore of Long Island, NY with her husband, son, and two cats.
