Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katie Fish is an associate veterinarian at Perinton Veterinary Hospital. Prior to joining Perinton Veterinary Hospital, she attended the University at Buffalo, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Health and Behavior in 2000, before continuing on to Cornell University for veterinary school. During her undergraduate career at the University at Buffalo, Dr. Fish received numerous recognitions for her academic excellence. She was inducted into the national honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. She was also the recipient of the Grace Capen Award for Academic Excellence and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship. She went on to attend Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Dr. Fish highly values fostering the human–animal bond throughout all stages of life. She enjoys managing a balance of both surgical and medical cases as well as educating clients, students, and staff. When she is not at work, Dr. Fish enjoys playing the violin. She has played since she was seven years old and currently plays with the Penfield Symphony Orchestra. She also enjoys playing tennis and taking part in other outdoor activities, such as running. When time permits, Dr. Fish loves to travel, especially internationally. Her animal family includes three cats—Grimmlee, Bibelot, and Pascal.
