Veterinarian Overview
My childhood dream was to become a veterinarian. My father is a veterinarian and my best childhood memories were going to work with my dad. I spent countless hours out on the road and in the office watching my dad take care of large and small animals. I vividly remember putting my sleeping bag in one of the cages pretending to be a dog! So I guess you could say veterinary medicine is in my genes! I never considered another career; in fact, my high school career speech was about becoming a veterinarian.I did my undergraduate education at Westminster College, and then headed to The Ohio State University for veterinary school. After graduating in 2010, I started working at Poland Veterinary Centre. Deciding to work at PVC was an easy decision. I did a required two-week externship at PVC before graduation and fell in love with the staff, clients, and their furry friends!I am married to a loving and supportive husband, Bobby, who most of you know from TV commercials! We are blessed with twins who we adopted in May 2014 - Paige and Parker. We also have a dog named, Cooper. We love traveling and spending time outdoors, whether its skiing in the winter or water skiing in the summer! We also serve at our local church as mentors for senior high students.I truly love every aspect of veterinary medicine, but I have a particular interest in dermatology, oncology and internal medicine. My greatest joy is educating our clients on their pets health and improving the special bond we all share with our pets. I am also excited to further my education in abdominal ultrasound, which will allow us to better care for our patients.
