Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Regan Stetar was born and raised in Burgettstown, PA. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes School and Madonna High school, then attended Westminster College. There, Regan majored in biology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science. During her enrollment at Westminster, she began working at a local veterinary clinic where she quickly learned and developed an appreciation of all of the supporting roles in the clinic. She attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and developed her interests in surgery and dermatology. Upon graduation she remained in Columbus, Ohio and began working as a veterinarian in a hospital that offered her the chance to further her interest in surgery and exotic animal medicine while gaining experience using ultrasound and surgical laser. A classmate offered Regan an opportunity to help establish a low cost spay and neuter clinic for central Ohio. This allowed Regan the ability to advance her surgical skills and support animals in need. She also served in Akron, OH at the same time working for a rescue agency that also had a spay neuter clinic and medical facility. Here she trained with The Humane Alliance group, an organization that is developing low cost spay neuter clinics across the country and successfully reducing homeless pet populations. Missing the Pittsburgh region and her friends and family, Regan obtained a job in Pittsburgh working as the primary surgeon as well as developing a stronger knowledge base in medicine. During her three years there, Regan began to perform a large number of dental procedures after training with Dr. Prescott at the Ohio Veterinary Dental Service. After starting a family and wanting to focus on her newborn son, Regan came to Hilltop to work part time. She has been enjoying working with the staff and her patients since 2011. Regan met her husband Marc while attending veterinary school in Columbus. They married after she graduated. Together they have two sons, a dog, three cats, and fish. When Regan is not working, she enjoys skiing, traveling, scuba diving, attending concerts and of course, spending time with her family In 2016, Regan purchased the practice and became the owner of Hilltop Animal Hospital.
