Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Araki moved to Erie to become a part of the PEC staff in August of 2015. She grew up in Upstate New York, and attended veterinary school in Scotland, where she lived for 5 years. She has long held interest in the field, starting out as a kennel attendant in 2003 and receiving her veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow in 2015. Her areas of interest include emergency and critical care, toxicology, pathology, and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. She is a member of the RCVS (Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), BSAVA (British Small Animal Veterinary Association), and VECCS (Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society). Dr. Araki, her husband, and their two children share their home with their recently rescued kitten "Jura". She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, as well as traveling, reading, and various outdoor activities.
