Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Kaye Sweigard was born and raised in Halifax, Pa. Her love of animals began at a young age with her own pets. She was also active in the 4H showing beef steers, pigs and lambs. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University she was employed as a farm manager on an Angus farm. She then decided to pursue veterinary medicine. After graduating from The Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 she was employed in a mixed animal practice in Indiana for 3 years. She then moved closer to home in Pittsburgh where she was employed in an Emergency Clinic and private small animal practice for 7 years before deciding to move back to central Pennsylvania and start the Paw Prints Veterinary Center.
