Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Carr is an associate veterinarian at Veterinary Medical Center, first joining the team in February 2016. He attended the University of Scranton and received an undergraduate degree in biology in 2010. He then attended the University of Glasgow, graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2015.His professional veterinary interests include production animal medicine and general veterinary medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinarian Medical Association and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.Dr. Carr enjoys the variety in the day-to-day of being a veterinarian. "No day will be the same, yet every day there is an opportunity to make a difference," he says.He grew up in Plains, Penn., always knowing he wanted to work with animals. He was an intern at Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Fla., a veterinary technician at Plains Animal Hospital, and held an extern dairy placement at UC DavisVeterinary Teaching and Research Center.When he's not working, Dr. Carr enjoys fishing, sports, fitness and traveling.
