Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Scott Fausel received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. He completed four years on concurrent postgraduate training in Pharmacology at Penn. Dr. Fausel divided his time over the next eight years among general practice, emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, and teaching Pharmacology and Radiology for a veterinary technical college program. Between 1999 and 2010 he was Medical Director and saw referral cases in cardiology and ultrasound at Newark Animal Hospital, a 24/7 Emergency & Specialty hospital in Delaware. Dr. Fausel moved to Berks County in 2010 to become Medical Director of Berks Animal Emergency Center, where he continued his referral work in cardiology and ultrasound, and anchored the emergency service. He joined VCA Sinking as Medical Director in March 2015. Dr. Fausel enjoys performing music, playing chess, and duplicate bridge, mountain biking, tinkering, electronics and computers, and spending time with his family, including 5 cats, Great Dane, and French Bulldog.
