Dr Carrie Kean is an absolute angel. We recently moved to the Erie area and have tried a number of different vets for our 7 1/2 year old Irish Wolfhound. He has had a number of health issues and very recently he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma a very aggressive and painful bone cancer. Dr Carrie was initially referred and contacted to provide an in-home exam but our boys cancer took a severe turn for the worst very quickly. Dr Carrie came on short notice - responded to text messages late in the evening and was kind and caring with her messages. When she arrived at our home in the morning we discussed the worsening condition and she gave us an honest answer that our hound would likely not be able to return if even briefly to a quality life regardless of the care provided even though she was willing to work with us if we wanted to pursue other options for pain relief. Ultimately, We made the decision to release him from his pain. I have worked with a number of in home vets in my life in AZ and CO for end of life care and I can say without any hesitation that Dr Carrie is the most patient, compassionate and caring vet I have worked with. Really an angel on earth. You can see she really cares about your animal and very importantly about you as well. I would highly recommend her for any service but especially if you need to say goodbye to your beloved pet in a peaceful and respectful manner.
