Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Michele Salata is a recent newcomer to Rhode Island, having moved here with her husband, Rein, in 2004. She joined our practice in 2008. Dr. Michele received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh, her masters degree from Duquesne University, and her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1992, she established her own veterinary hospital in Massachusetts, beginning as a solo practitioner and ultimately growing to a four-doctor practice. Currently, she enjoys providing both surgical and medical care for our four-legged patients. Downtime is shared with three sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. Hiking, traveling, and cooking top the list of her interests, along with two furry mutts that she adoringly calls her roadside finds!
