Dr. Niblett KILLED my horse. I have been in the horse industry for over 20 years. I have been a horse trainer, judge, and have dealt with many of the top industry professionals. When I was told by my farrier that he had a mobile vet that he recommended that could come and take x-rays and access for a possible abscess, I figured that was what he would do. Take x-rays and consult with me. Instead, without my consent, after x-raying and seeing that there was barely any sole between the coffin bone and the ground, he proceeded to dig out something that he said looked like an abscess even though it was NOT evident on the x-ray he took. He made contact with the coffin bone and sent the horse into a laminitic episode. We contacted him numerous times and he was too busy to respond. He then went out of town when our horse went to the emergency hospital and said he was unable to send x-rays. When we told him that the horse was in critical condition, he still was unresponsive. He finally sent the x-rays after the horse had foundered on the other foot because of mechanical laminitis. When he finally texted to see how my horses was doing, I responded "dead" and he just said "sorry." I have never written a bad review before and that should tell you a lot. DO NOT USE THIS VET. He is negligent, lacks compassion, and treated my family like trash. That horse was family to us and he died a horrible death for no reason. Dr. Niblett, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Dr. Niblett did a prepurchase exam AND floated the teeth of a horse i bought from Tonkawood Farms...the horse was a prison horse with the tatoo 9 on her left shoulder as a birth years...both assured me the horse was 10. When my dental vet floated the teeth 18 months later, he should be the teeth wearing down and the horse is actually 20! Both Tonkawood and Dr. Niblett are dishonest....do not use them!
