Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Cozart grew up in Commerce, TX where he was commonly referred to as the "Turtle Man" by many family and friends because of his knack for always finding and collecting any wild critter under the sun. His love and compassion for animals along with his strong interest in science and medicine have driven him to help people through the practice of veterinary medicine. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University in 2007 and then remained in College Station to obtain a DVM from Texas A&M's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. He has been with Frisco West Animal Medical Center since 2015 and has enjoyed getting the opportunity to meet and impact the Frisco community. Dr. Cozart's professional interests include: pathology, hematology, cytology, and dermatology. Dr. Cozart revels in being outdoors (playing golf, hiking, fishing, and running). He's allergic to cell phones unless they're playing Led Zepplin, The Rolling Stones, or Pink Floyd. He's a huge Dallas Mavericks fanatic and still enjoys playing the game of basketball. He learned the art of stained glass making from his father and appreciates the challenge of designing his own stained-glass windows and lamps. Dr. Cozart's furry family includes a Golden Retriever named Jet and a Maine Coon cat named Bob. Dr. Cozart always says "every day is an opportunity to build relationships with our fellow brothers, sisters, and animals! Don't waste a day"!
