Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Rush has had a love of animals since she was a little girl spending her free time on her familys farm in Oklahoma. She has been employed in veterinary hospitals since she was 17 working as kennel tech, receptionist and veterinary assistant. After high school, Dr. Rush began pursuing her goal to become a veterinarian by attending Oklahoma State University majoring in Zoology. After graduating from OSU in 2001, she practiced in Oklahoma for several years before moving to Austin. She purchased Brown Animal Clinic from Dr. Brown in 2012 when he retired and changed the name to Advanced Pet Care. Dr. Rush enjoys soft tissue surgery, dentistry and complex internal medicine cases. Dr. Rush and her husband, Brian, have a son and a daughter who shares their love of animals.
