Veterinarian Overview
Dr. DeKing is originally from the Midwest and spent time growing up in Illinois and Wisconsin prior to moving to Arizona with her family. She attended Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Agribusiness in 2005. Dr. DeKing earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2009, and graduated as a member of the Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society. Following graduation, she completed a one year internship at Washington State University in order to further expand her knowledge in areas of emergency and critical care, oncology, internal medicine, and surgery. Dr. DeKing shares her home with four dogs, Gonzo, an Australian cattle dog, Boomer, a border collie, and Sawyer and Emmett, both mixed breed dogs. In her free time, Dr. DeKing is an avid Chicago Cubs fan and also enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and spending as much time outdoors with her dogs as possible.
