Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Sarah Powers joined our team in January 2015. She is originally from Tempe, Arizona, and has been working continuously in veterinary hospitals since the age of 15. She graduated from the University of Arizona, and received her DVM degree from the joint program at the University of Oregon/University of Washington. Before joining the staff at VCA North Park Animal Hospital Dr. Powers worked at small animal practice in Mill Valley and a small animal/exotics practice in Petaluma. Her skill and compassion have endeared her to our patients, staff, and clients alike. Dr. Powers is married to a large animal veterinarian in Sonoma County. They have 3 adorable daughters and share their home with a cat named Clive, a lovely dog named Mazzy, 3 hardy fish and a chinchilla. Sarah is an avid gardener and she and her husband are major foodies and gourmet cooks. She loves hiking, biking and exploring the Bay Area with her family.
