Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Siebert graduated from Purdue University, College of Veterinary Medicine, with a DVM degree in 1976. She practiced for several years in general small animal practice before returning to Purdue for graduate school. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Clinical Microbiology in 1982. While at Purdue, she taught genetics and microbiology courses, and conducted research in the area of virology and molecular biology. She eventually became director of the Purdue Center for DNA sequencing. Her love of clinical medicine drew her back to private practice as she became owner of Greater Lafayette Cat Hospital in 1998. Dr. Siebert has special interest in internal medicine, dentistry, geriatrics and nutrition. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (feline), one of fewer than 80 such board certified feline specialists in the United States. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Dental Society and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). She has served on the Board of Directors for AAFP. Dr. Siebert loves cats (of course) and has never been without a feline companion in her life. She speaks fluent Meow. Her pets include a redpoint domestic shorthair cat named Carlos, a border terrier named Vada, and a sugar glider named Ryno.
