Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Katie Frerick joined Harrison Animal Hospital in June, 2014. A member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary medical Association, her professional interests include general medicine, neurology and cardiology."I enjoy helping owners make the right decision for their pet," says Dr. Frerick. "The variety of cases on a daily basis is astounding and I really enjoy the challenge!"Dr. Frerick first became interested in animal care in high school, when she began cleaning stalls in exchange for horseback riding lessons. After graduating high school, she attended Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, graduating summa cum laude. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.Dr. Frerick has a Shih Tzu named Clara and a cat named Garfield. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, family games, and painting.
