Veterinarian Overview
Dr Slack graduated from Charleston Catholic High School in 2008 and went on to attend West Virginia University. After receiving her degree in Animal and Nutritional Sciences at WVU, she went on to study at Mississippi State University, where she graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. During her studies at Mississippi State, Dr. Slack gave much of her time working with a local mobile spay/neuter program, providing much-needed assistance too many area shelters throughout Mississippi. Another memorable experience for Dr. Slack was the opportunity to travel to South Africa, where she was able to work with giraffes, cape buffalo, and many other native species. She has one furr child, a sweet kitty named Beatrice, whose favorite activities include sleeping on Mom's lap under a blanket, or spying on the household by hiding behind open doors while peering thru the crack.
