Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Victoria Bruno is a Bay Area native, born and raised in Pittsburg, California. She graduated from UC Davis in 1983 as a Regents Scholar with a summa cum laude degree in biological sciences. She chose to pursue a career in veterinary medicine because it combined her passions for medicine, diagnostics and animals. She attended the UC Davis Veterinary School and graduated in 1988. She has served on the Small Animal Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Veterinarians for Animal Rights, and the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.Dr. Bruno has been working the swing shift at Central Veterinary Hospital for over 20 years. She finds the routine and emergency cases rewarding and challenging. Her mission statement is to provide the same care and options to all of her patients as she would hope another veterinarian would provide for her own sick or injured pets. She firmly believes that it is of utmost importance to educate clients about every aspect of their pets condition so that the best choice can be made for the pet. Her professional interests include mastering the art of medical diagnostics and performing soft-tissue surgical procedures of dogs and cats. She especially enjoys the aspects of dermatology and the care of senior animals. She is the lead veterinarian for the San Francisco Bay Area Scottish Terrier Club.Dr. Brunos personal interests include gardening in her tropical yard, gourmet cooking, visiting tropical areas, remodeling her home and spending time at the beach in Half Moon Bay whenever she can. She shares her life in Fremont with three dogs, multiple koi fish in her backyard pond and many diverse saltwater fish in her reef aquarium.
