Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Audrey Hoholm grew up in Alabama surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, snakes, pocket pets, and cows. She received a Bachelors Degree in Animal and Dairy Sciences and a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Mississippi State University, and spent two years managing a research feedlot in the Midwest. She relocated to Southern California in 2006 with her husband, who is also a veterinarian, and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011 as a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society. Dr. Hoholm completed a small animal rotating internship at the Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital, and joined IVS in August 2012. Dr. Hoholms areas of interest include internal medicine, nutrition, dermatology, and emergency medicine. She promotes animal wellbeing through routine preventative care, and enjoys educating people about all aspects of their pets care. She also has quite a soft spot for her feline patients. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is being able to help animals and people by promoting the importance of the human-animal bond. Dr. Hoholm enjoys spending time with her husband, the other Dr. Hoholm, and their menagerie of fuzzy kids Fergus, the cat who enjoys taking showers, Angus, the boss cat, Morrigan, the cat who is obsessed with food, Raven, the stuffed animal-obsessed Lab mix, Loki, the terrier mix who likes to sleep on the couch when no one is home, and Houdini, the carpet python who earned his name. Dr. Hoholm enjoys snowboarding, is an avid reader, and enjoys international travel
