Veterinarian Overview
A native of LA., April received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a minor in Bio- chemistry from Loyola Marymount University. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University. April went on to complete an animal surgical and medical internship at California Animal Hospital in West L A., followed by an emergency Internship at Animal Urgent Care in Escondido. For two years, April practiced emergency med- icine as an ICU doctor for City of Angels, Advanced Critical Care of Los Angeles. Dr. Rogers is thrilled to be at The Veterinary Care Center as an associate veterinarian and Is also deeply committed to mentoring future veterinarians of all ages. Dr Rogers Is also the IACUC board veterinarian for research at her alma mater, Loyola Marymount University. In her spare time she enjoys Zumba, kickboxing, singing and baking. She has a family of four Including a cat named Coal, her dog Willis and two leopard geckos Leo and Muppet.
