Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Robert Arrick opened Park Animal Hospital in 1984 and was involved in every phase of the hospital's development, from the design of the building to the purchase of medical equipment. Before starting his own veterinary practice, he worked at a number of animal hospitals in the San Francisco area. A San Francisco native, Dr. Arrick attended the University of California, Berkeley, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences in 1972. He continued his education at the University of California, Davis, and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1976. Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Arrick completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the prestigious Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Arrick's professional interests include surgery and internal medicine, and he also enjoys the management responsibilities that come with running a veterinary hospital. Dr. Arrick and his wife Jan are the proud parents of twin boys Noah and Eli. He is a life-long sports enthusiast and enjoys running, training, swimming, playing golf, tennis, and basketball in his free time. He also volunteers as a youth soccer, baseball, and basketball coach. The Arrick family shares their home with their rescue animals; Kiwi (Chihuahua mix) and Oni the tuxedo cat.
