Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Melissa James is originally from Falmouth, Massachusetts. She attended UMass for her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science and while there enjoyed being a member of the marching band as well as a year studying abroad in Scotland. Melissa attended veterinary school at Kansas State University and graduated in 2004. It was there she met her husband Brad, who is originally from Creston, Iowa. From 2004 to 2014 they lived in northwest Ohio. In the summer of 2014 they moved with their children Lilly and Ben back to Creston. Melissa joined Southern Hills in August of 2014. In her spare time she enjoys working with their many animals, and exploring their woods and getting to know SW Iowa.
