Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Farrell's goal is to make Hickory the standard of veterinary care for Tangipahoa and Livingston Parish by constantly improving the facility, equipment, staff and level of veterinary medicine. His veterinary career path began when he graduated, with honors, from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1998. After S.L.U., Dr. Farrell attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine receiving his D.V.M in 2002. He practiced on the northshore for 7 yrs before opening Hickory Small Animal Hospital in 2009. Dr. Farrell was also a part time instructor at S.L.U. for several years after graduating vet school. He is a member of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, Louisiana Academy of Veterinary Practice, Veterinary Hospital Managers Association and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
