Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Krausman attended vet school in Ithaca, NY at Cornell University. She became a vet because of her love of animals and biology; this was a great way of combining the two. From childhood, she explored nature and enjoyed studying the husbandry of her many pets. This enabled her to expand her veterinary practice to include not only dogs and cats, but also exotics such as rodents, rabbits and pocket pets. Dr. Krausman attended the 9th International Symposium for Human-Animal Interactions and lectured on the effect of illness in pets on the wellbeing of the elderly. She enjoys internal and geriatric medicine. One of her goals is to become more involved with shelter medicine as there are so many homeless animals that need help. In her spare time, Dr. Krausman plays jazz saxophone and is in a band called Moment's Notice. She also loves spending time with her family and is an avid yoga practitioner. Her pets include her dog George, her cats Ricky and Floyd, Sergio the rabbit, Petey the conure, Norton and Trixie the Senegal parrots as well as a dove, 2 canaries and a gecko
