Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Koren-Roth was born and raised in Israel. Prior to his arrival in the United States, he lived on a kibbutz, a farming community in southern Israel. After leaving Israel in 1983, Dr. Koren-Roth and his wife Amy, traveled extensively in Europe and Asia before settling in New York.Dr. Koren-Roth received his B.S in Biology from Queens College and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1994. Since his graduationfrom veterinary school, Dr. Koren-Roth has been living in the Capital Region with his wife, two children, and two boisterous cats. Dr. Koren-Roth has been working at Colonie Animal Hospital since 1997 and became a partner in 2005.Dr. Koren-Roth enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery. He has a special interest in avian and exotic medicine including rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and pocket pets.Dr. Koren-RothÂ’s interests outside veterinary medicine include long distance road biking, swimming, hiking, and traveling around the world exploring other cultures. Additionally, he has a long standing commitment to community service and co-chairs the social action committee in his congregation.
