Veterinarian Overview
Dr. Bruce Hoskins received his Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University in 1983 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1989. He has been in companion animal practice continuously since that time and has been the owner of the Croton Animal Hospital in Croton-On-Hudson, New York since September 2000. Dr. Hoskins was voted one of Westchesters Best Veterinarians by Westchester Magazine for all three years of the survey. Dr. Hoskins is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and the Croton Animal Hospital has been an AAHA certified veterinary hospital since 1974. Dr. Hoskins is accredited by the United States Department of Agriculture to do regulatory work/health certificate examinations on behalf of the department. In addition to authoring newsletters for the Croton Animal Hospital and CATNIP newsletter published for the Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Hoskins was lead author of an article published in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association titled, Ultrasonographic Diagnosis of Detached Retina in a Dog. Dr. Hoskins shares his life and his home with his wife, three sons, two dogs, one cat and three rabbits. He enjoys the outdoors by skiing, boating, kayaking/canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, and hiking.
